The Committee

The Steering Committee of the Alberta Smithsonian Internship Program is entrusted with the task of evaluating all the applications so as to nominate and recommend the best qualified applicants to the Smithsonian Institution for placement..

The Steering Committee comprises 6 members from different institutions across Alberta. They are:

  Coordinator, International Programs and Exchange

  Director, Arts Grants
  Arts Branch-Alberta Tourism, Parks, Recreation and Culture

The Committee also scrutinizes the comments of supervisors in their performance reports of interns and monitors feedback from returning interns in an ongoing effort to enhance the program for future students.
