Travel/Health Insurance

All students accepted to participate in the Alberta Smithsonian Internship Program are required as a condition of participation to demonstrate evidence of complete health and travel insurance for the entire duration of the participation in the program. Alberta Provincial Health Care coverage does not provide adequate coverage for students on this program and students will need to show evidence and sign a form prior to departure for the program indicating that they have complete health and travel insurance. Students are required to have coverge from the day of travel until two days after departure from the USA. The additional two days of coverage are required to cover any unanticipated change in flights such as unanticipated cancelations.
