About the Plan...

cover_icon Alberta is building on the success of its economy and its flourishing high-tech sector. Building and growing knowledge-based companies is important to Alberta's ongoing success in the new global economy.

Our Action Plan will assist Alberta entrepreneurs in getting more of their ideas off the research bench and into consumers' hands. It builds on our strength in the advanced technology sectors of clean energy, information and communications technology, life sciences and nanotechnology with a wide range of coordinated actions. From tax credits to venture capital, the actions provide a supportive environment for companies to grow and become successful in world markets. It's a package that's good for Alberta businesses and good for investors and includes nine actions within four theme areas.

Theme 1: Enhancing an already strong tax environment
Theme 2: Inviting the world to invest
Theme 3: Building your company and products.

Questions and Answers to common questions are available. A PDF and text in Word document format of the Action Plan booklet is also available.
