Access to the Future Fund
The Access to the Future Fund supports innovation and excellence within Alberta’s advanced learning system in order to enhance and expand accessible, affordable and high quality learning opportunities.
Established in 2005 by the Access to the Future Act, the Fund receives income from an endowment that is targeted to reach $3 billion at full implementation.
Through two unique programs, the Access to the Future Fund plays an important role in moving Alberta’s advanced learning system to the next levels of innovation and excellence:
- The Renaissance Fund matching program is designed to stimulate donations to the advanced learning system
- The project-based Innovation Fund supports leading-edge initiatives which foster innovation and collaboration within the advanced learning system
