  Dental office: Part 2

Brad is at the dental office.
He has decay in a tooth.
This decay is called a cavity.
The dentist will put a filling
in Brad's tooth.

What does the dentist do?

  1. He uses a needle
    to freeze the tooth.
    Now Brad can't feel anything.
  2. He puts a dental dam
    around Brad's teeth.
  3. He takes out the decay.
    He uses a drill
    and dental tools.
  4. He fills the hole
    in the tooth.
The new part is the filling.
  5. He works on the filling.
    For example,
    he polishes it.
  6. The filling is done.
    It looks like
    part of Brad's tooth.
Brad is happy
with his new smile.
