Dec 17 Albertans to monitor own health status using cellular technology
Edmonton... An Alberta-based collaborative project may soon enable patients to test their own body temperature, pulse rate and blood pressure at home and transmit the data to a healthcare provider.  The Alberta government has committed $1.5 million to the Capital Health, University of Alberta, and Korea’s LG Electronics joint project.
Dec 13 $1.5 million provides major boost to research to help end MS
Edmonton... New breakthroughs in the fight to end multiple sclerosis (MS) are the goal of $1.5 million in provincial funding. Premier Ed Stelmach announced the Alberta government will provide support to the endMS Research and Training Network, an initiative of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada. The network will facilitate the recruitment and training of young scientists and foster a collaborative environment for research.
