Alberta Council on Admissions and Transfer (ACAT)
The Alberta Council on Admissions and Transfer (ACAT) is a body through which stakeholders cooperate to ensure effective transferability of post-secondary courses and programs for the benefits of students.ACAT’s role includes
- developing policies, guidelines, and procedures to facilitate transfer agreements among post-secondary institutions
- implementing policies through monitoring, mediation and research
- maintaining an online database of approved transfer agreements
- enhancing opportunities for Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR)
