A Learning Alberta
In 2005/2006, nearly 3,000 Albertans provided their thoughts and input on the future of Alberta's advanced learning system with a comprehensive review of the system aptly called, A Learning Alberta. Those ideas were rolled into one final report: A Learning Alberta.
The final report presents a forward-thinking and strategic plan for transforming the advanced learning system over the next 20 years. All of the recommendations aim to improve access to and success in advanced education opportunities for all Albertans, regardless of age, ability, location or financial situation. The Alberta government has reviewed the report and is currently addressing the recommendations through initiatives such as the Roles and Mandates Policy Framework and the Affordability Framework.
