Tuition Fee Policy
The Government of Alberta has implemented a Tuition Fee Policy capping students' contributions to 30 percent of the institutional cost of delivering post-secondary education. The policy also limits the average annual tuition fee increases at institutions.
Post-Secondary Funding Framework Review The MLA Post-Secondary Funding Review Committee was created in March 2000 to review and make recommendations on the approach used to allocate funding to Alberta's publicly funded post-secondary institutions. In January 2001, the government released the Report of the MLA Post-Secondary Framework Review Committee. The recommendations outlined in the report will be addressed over the course of Alberta Learning's 2001/04 Business Plan.
