Mass Effect

MasseffectMass Effect is the latest best-selling video game for the PC and Xbox 360™ videogame and entertainment system. It was produced by Edmonton-based BioWare, a division of Electronic Arts.

Founded in 1995 by University of Alberta alumni, Dr. Ray Muzyka and Dr. Greg Zeschuk, the award-winning company has developed many other popular video games including Jade Empire, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Neverwinter Nights, and Baldur's Gate. With studios in Edmonton, Canada and Austin, Texas, BioWare is hard at work on the epic fantasy RPG, Dragon Age, and Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood for the Nintendo DS™.

In 2008, the Financial Post named BioWare as one of Canada's top ten best companies to work for.
